DESCRIPTION:we’re researching preparedness through movement practices and through engaging with prepper culture - worlds are ending (in new ways and old) and we want to be prepared emotionally, communally, physically. this series will use modalities of improvisation, contact and weight sharing, phrase work, and group scores/rituals to explore the inherent time it takes to build relationship and intimacy, to learn skills, and to embody real and imagined worlds with rigor. together we’ll explore concepts of making and following maps, slow dancing, constructing and tearing down; we might even make a lyrical routine, just for fun.
LEVEL:classes will be largely improvisational, but some will have phrase work components. this series is open to all movement backgrounds, and we’ll try to give you a heads up on any experience considerations for specific classes within the series. if you have questions about this please reach out to mik or tor!
